Cycling in the Heart of the Dolomites
Getting around the nature reserve on two wheels - The Dolomites are a cycling and mountain biking dream and the Hotel Post Tolderhof is the ideal point of departure for cycling tours in the mountains of the Dolomites.
A well-integrated system of cycle tracks runs through the Plan de Corones holiday region. There is an abundant choice of itineraries to suit everyone in this spectacular natural landscape, pitched at various difficulty levels. Even a section of the famous Giro d’Italia passes through the Dolomites.
You can explore the military tracks around Sesto/Sexten or the classic cross-country routes by mountain bike, while the Alpine passes represent a challenge for cyclists. Those preferring to take it a little easier, can take electric bikes along the Drava/Drau bike path all the way to Lienz in East Tyrol, or go on the Val Pusteria/Pustertal Valley cycle track leading up to Brunico/Bruneck.
We understand the needs of cyclists and have a convenient bicycle storage space for our guests. There is even a room for them to dry out their shoes.
There is a massive range of cycling and MTB options in the surrounding area. A Bike-taxi takes cyclists to the starting point of the cycle routes or to the enchanting side valleys of the Val Pusteria Valley. The "Pusterbike" cycle multi-service can be found in a number of municipal districts, serving both as a bicycle rental and service centre where bicycle can be conveniently taken out at one rental station and returned at another en route! And that's not all: the Valdaora/Olang "Rent & go" organizes daily cycling tours under the guidance of a professional.
We felt at home from the first day and the food was excellent.
