Our tip:
We take beginners on the lunge first and this way they learn the seated position, how to trot and how to lead by the reins and trust is built up with the horse.
In the enclosure, beginners learn how to ride independently. Advanced riders practice the art of subtle guidance and dealing with various types of horse. Experienced riders will find the cross-country course a sporting challenge. Ability and trust between horse and rider is required for the fixed obstacles, the pond and the large riding area.

“At the Tolder stables, you can be taken on a carriage ride; carriages and marathon carriages are available for that very purpose. However, you can also gain an introduction into the art of horse-and-carriage driving. The riding and carriage-driving instructor Hannes Weitlaner practices the sport of driving at an international level. The three-time Italian champion and participant in the one-horse carriage-driving world championship guarantees experience, competence and a good atmosphere.
Horse-and-carriage driving made easy: Competent and personal: theory lessons in brightly-lit rooms with small groups. This spares the horses but your fingers become numb all the same. The grips are practiced at first in a »dry run« using the driving teaching device. Experienced and calm driving horses: Now we go out for a drive; the instructor monitors each move and helps with instructions.
At the Tolderhof stables, there is not only the largest riding stable at your disposal, we also offer you horse-aided seminars! In conjunction with the academy for horse-aided seminars, we offer seminars on the following subjects:
